Sarain Boylan has been working professionally in the film and television industry in Canada and the United States for fifteen years. As an actress she has been featured in such films as the Genie award-winning Bon Cop Bad Cop, Saw IV, Ringtone, Gangster Exchange, Hustle, Posers, Night's Noon Time, Murder in the Hamptons, The House, The Right Way, Happy Face, Hayseed and Bleacher Bums, among others. Some of her television work includes CSI Miami, Rent-A-Goalie, The Call, Til Death Do Us Part, TrailerVision, The Hunger, Due South, Once a Thief, Gong Show and Nero Wolfe.

As a filmmaker, Sarain has shot documentaries and short films and has worked as an assistant director on a variety of productions including Jerry and Tom (Miramax), Due South (Alliance Atlantis), DOC (PAX), and White Lies (CBC). Documentary work includes the films In Tent City, Camp Hollywood, and What Unites Us.

She has coordinated the production of over 30 short films working through the Centre for the Arts with the Teen Film Camps and runs the Programming Committee for their Independent Short Film Screenings. She also sits as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Centre. Sarain is co-producing her first feature film, The Cellar Door, which she also co-wrote.
